Bannable if you get caught.

And as others have said, it's more fun to be drunk while questing, vanquishing, etc. than while sitting in town

This might be a bad place to ask, but is there a timer like program, for windows, that could beep every 2 minutes or so. Then I can do something and click to drink.

I would love to know this also.

I don't have any proof, but I know I saw Gaile state that it's a bannable offense, but they won't be actively looking for people using it, unlike bots who are being hunted.

Textmod ONLY modifies the client side graphics and textures. It doesn't impact other people or interface with the game at all. That is what makes it different from a mod that "does the game for you" somehow.

I wouldn't try it, since a bot is a third party program, which is against the rules.
No risk > all.

Well Texmod does little to alter your play besides how it looks. Now if Texmod played the game for you or somehow reduced requirements on titles, then it's a problem. But if it's just a matter of turning red bad guys green, it doesn't matter.

You mean if I get an egg timer, it is bannable? They are really cracking down!

(Hope your reffering to the drink bot)

The egg timer won't click for you. In the EULA it says if it can earn anything without a player being at the computer, then it's against the rules.

I really hope your pun was accidental. @_@

Mouse macros won't get you banned, bots will.

Not sure exactly what a mouse macro can do, but if it can click twice every minute, I would think it's the same as a bot.

A mouse macro is the same as a keyboard macro. It tell the mouse to follow a set of instructions. However, I suppose there is a fine line between how far that can go. If you mouse macro the mouse to continuously click until you tell it to stop, I don't think there is anything wrong with that.

I use my G15 macro keys to login, etc. that is also fine.

When I got my sweet tooth title, i had stack upon stack of Creme Brulee. I used a mouse macro to click until I said stop on each stack (because after about 4 stacks, my finger was going to fall off)

Ugh. This is a horrible thread.

Go to google and look for a mouse double click program. There's no reason it HAS to be the "drunkard bot" program. Or use your mouse macro program that came with your mouse. And suddenly the chances of it being a keylogger go down dramatically.

Cheapens the title? Perhaps to some people. But that can be said about a lot of things in-game. Even about the trick of warping after drinking to speed up the process. It might take a bit of skill to do well, but it's still an exploit. Besides, the biggest barrier is still the untold fortune that will be required to attain that much alcohol.

Go ahead and use a clicker program. Keep it quiet and do it on your own and take your chances if you want. What are the odds you get busted? Ridiculously small. Just remember that they are still there so you never know and the risk is real. They have to officially state that all programs are bannable offenses only because they don't want every fool coming and asking them if "program x" is ok to use.

They probably made drunkard harder to achieve just because they don't want to be perceived as encouraging drinking. So they made it harder. Honestly they could eliminate the majority of the debate just by making drunkard like sweet tooth.

Playing while working on the drunkard title, however... now that's my kind of stupid.

ahhh check out the mapping titles everywhere... and the forums about "map cantha in a day" or such... textmod has a huge influence on the game, titles, and making it alot easier....

drunk title with auto clicker... still alot of time
cartographer with text mod.... well under 1/2 the time

my view, if they let texture mod, they should let a simple mouse click every 2 minutes... that 2 mins is still 2 mins... it doesnt totally take the title and rip it in half or less...

just me 5 cents...

But the mouse macro can be done while you're at work/school, sleeping, et cetera. The texmod is merely an aid for vision, or a better version of the photoshop method. You can't say they are on the same plane.

i agree, both different planes, but... both 3rd party software, and i, and many other players, feel textmod took alot more away from the 3 mapping (4 including legendary) then a simple afk click ever 2-3 minute tool would... so personal, i think textmod is worse then this drunkard mouse click micro ever could be...
